Configurationsfiler fr Creo/Elements Pro och Pro/ENGINEER

Configuration files for Proe/ENGINEER och Creo Most settings for Pro/ENGINEER and Creo is stored in the config.pro file. This file can be edited from the main menu via the Tools>Options (Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire) and File>Options>Configuration Editor (Creo Parametric). It is possible to load multiple configs. A scenario where it would be useful with multiple configuration files is if a company has some default settings that all users must use. But then each specifik user also has some personal preferences which he likes. The config file comes in two versions - Config.pro and Config.sup. Sup stands for superior. This file will always overide any shared setting that it has with a loaded config.pro file. In the scenario mentioned above its worth renaming the config file that stores the companys basic settings to Sup so that the users never can affect these settings by loading there own file. Creo looks for these config files in three different folders and in a specific order: 1. <Loadpoint>\text ex. C:\Program\PTC\Proengineer\text 2. Start in folder The start in folder for Creo is automaticly set to the working dir and this is where files saves and opens per default. You can set the start in folder by right clicking the shortcut icon that you use to start Creo, choose properties and assign a foldern in the start in text box. 3. In the Documents folder of the current Windows user

In addition to the config file, there are also two other files that affect settings in Creo Tree.cfg Drawing.dtl settings for the modeltree drawing settings

These two files are specified from the configuration file with the following settings. mdl_tree_cfg_file specifies tree.cfg pro_dtl_setup_file specifies drawing.dtl (drawing_setup_file in newer versions These files can thus be placed in any folder as long as they are specified correctly in the configuration file.
