DESCRIBE the characteristics of a folktale/legend using presentation.


Characters-based on real people/heroes Setting-realistic/past; urban legends-present Moral-lesson learned from the story

READ The Legend of the Bluebonnet with the class.

Discuss the pictures and how they help tell the story Describe the importance of the characters and their appearance in the story Explain the actions of She-Who-Is-Alone and what that means for the plot Determine the moral of the story and discuss its relevance

DISCUSS the legends handout.
