Brief rationale for computer integration (why use technology?) Technology has been integrated into this lesson plan both as a tool for engaging students and for effective time management. Writing for an audience other than the teacher, engages the students and allows them to connect with students from other classrooms. By using email instead of letters, the wait time between each reply wont be as long. Using technology for this lesson allows students to experience how to connect with other people around the world in a timely fashion. Search strategies employed I decided to use http://www.onekey.com because I wanted to ensure that this activity was one that was safe for students and easy to use.
