KHS Vikings Bleed Green March 2012

During the post-championship game press conference Coach Wells Gullage said his team bleeds green, the same can be said for me and the rest of Kinston High School. You can interpret this phrase in many different ways. You could say it means you love Kinston High. You could say it means you support Kinston High. Or, you could say it simply means you attend Kinston High. But, as a student at Kinston High School, let me explain to you what bleeding green really means. To bleed green is to completely embody the spirit of a Viking. To support KHS, in everything it does. To appreciate the hard work that those who came before us did to make this school what it is today. And to strive for your best so you will be forever remembered at KHS. But most importantly to bleed green is to take extreme pride in Kinston High and its numerous accomplishments. And as I sat there in Reynolds Coliseum on March 13, watching the team playing there hardest, watching them score point after point, listening to the cheers of the crowd. And seeing the joyous expressions on their faces as the entire room began to realize that the championship title was coming home to Kinston yet again, I never felt so proud. Our basketball team has accomplished so much over the last for years, along with the rest of the school that as I walk through the halls of Kinston High School I am extremely proud to say that I am a student of such a great school. And when I graduate from on July 15th 2010, I will be forever proud to tell everone that I am a KHS Viking. Kinston High School Vikings bleed green, do you?j
