It is highly important that all students listen and follow directions when given because we do not want to waste time with repeating directions several times. Failure to follow directions can also be harmful to yourself as well as others around you. 2. I will be READY AND SEATED A. Once the bell has rung, all students must be ready to start the productive school day. Rushing around to quickly get in your desk is not expectable. All materials should be out and ready so that you will not miss any important information. 3. I will RESPECT others that are around me. A. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That's the golden rule, and you should explain it simply to children as "Treat others how you want to be treated . 4. I will OBEY all school rules A. These rules are intended to protect you as well as others around you. It's important that you follow the policies of your school as closely as possible. 5. I will SPEAK KIND WORDS A. It is important that each student adopts a positive attitude. Hearing kind words can inspire all students to speak kind words to each other.
