TASK Decide on product sketches and begin ideation Define project constraints and material + technology research Choose team name and create team logo Choose strongest concept and prepare short presentation about what our product will offer, how it will be used and constructed Refine material choices (types initial colour and qualities) Build four low-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate rough structure Clarify fabrication process and material choices (and constraints) Create a single medium fidelity prototype to show how our product works Share a clearer idea of what our product will look like, how it will feel Demonstrate user interaction (energy gathering, buttons, dials etc) Lock in material choices and selected fabrication method Gather SolidSpace material and create necessary templates + files Prepare higher fidelity prototype to demonstrate interaction Detailed explanation of technology (semi-functional prototype) Begin work on final prototype and parts First SolidSpace visit, attempt to create all necessary pieces Put together working technology and test thoroughly Attempt to put together body and technology parts Seek feedback from Instructor and TA Refine final prototype, making any necessary changes early this week Second SolidSpace visit as necessaryrecreate any changed parts Reassemble and test device as whole unit Represent prototype to Instructor and TA for critique Prepare for presentation (slides, poster, final blog entry) Present final product interaction, materials, and intent
