What is VoiceThread?
Voicethread is an interactive tool that allows for collaborating, sharing, and commenting. Holds images, documents, and videos. Allows people to leave comments using voice, writing, video, and drawing. A storytelling tool, deep thinking tool, research tool, expository communication tool, an assessment tool.

A VoiceThread project has the potential to differentiate learning by providing a place for students with different learning styles can share their learning. Used as an assessment tool, VoiceThread projects give teachers a birds eye view into the thinking of their students especially students who have difficulty communicating their learning through writing (Dyck, 2007).

On Line Learning

Everything can be taught in more than one way. And anything thats understood can be shown in more than one way. But we always ought to keep asking ourselves, are we teaching every child and if not, and are there other ways in which we can do it? (Gardner 1997).

Focus on the storytelling first, then move on to the technology. Your tech tools are there to support the content you want to teach and stories you want to tell--not the other way around (Discovery Education, 2011)
