HOW TO SAVE FILES TO YOUR H DRIVE

WHY BOTHER? So all files are safe in your H Drive, where they cant be lost if comp crashes

1. Log in under your personal username (1st initial+last name Example: kbakie) 2. Click on the START BUTTON (far bottom, left hand corner of screen) 3. Click on COMPUTER

4. Under COMPUTER, click on your USERNAME example: kbakie (//sofnp01/users/sostaff) (H:)

5. This is your H DRIVE 6. There are 2 WAYS you can SAVE TO YOUR H DRIVE: I. DRAG & DROP files directly into the desired folder/location within your H DRIVE i. Open your H DRIVE (as instructed above) ii. Open the desired folder within your H DRIVE iii. Drag & Drop the file you wish to save to H DRIVE (see below)

CHOOSE A FILE FROM YOUR DESKTOP (or wherever the location)

Choose desired Folder within H DRIVE Drag & Drop file into H DRIVE

II. SAVE DIRECTLY to your H DRIVE i. Click FILE

ii. Click SAVE or SAVE AS

iii. Click on your H DRIVE (as instructed above, SEE #4)

iv. Choose desired folder/location within H DRIVE (will vary based on preference)

v. Once youve chosen location, Click SAVE
