In this WebQuest students will explore the life of William Conner. Based on their research the students will decide what makes a great leader. They will also learn how one man can make a great impact upon his community. And, discuss what Conners legacy means to Hamilton County.

Students will explore the various aspects of the WebQuest and linked Websites. They will learn about William Conner and his legacy and citizenship while practicing research skills, writing skills, and critical thinking. Goals for students: Students will define William Conner and express what made him a good leader. Students will learn the impact William Conner had on the present day Hamilton County.
Conner Prairie. Org is a wonderful resource for teachers. It contains various documents, videos, and articles concerning the Interactive Park (based in 1836) and William Conners life in Hamilton County. Ball State University has also participated in several digs at the Conner Home and offer many articles and photos at William Conner Home site.
