Production of Lucrative post by Alexander Ostrovsky (1967):
Formation of basic principles of Mark Zakharovs method of directing
Performance Lucrative Post at Moscow Satira Theatre (1967) is analyzed in
discourse of the elements of method of directing of Mark Zakharov principles
of selection of dramatic material and recreating it in process of composition of
the scenario of the director; ways of constructing the dramaturgy of production;
demands of casting and work with actors.

Formation of notion stock carachter in French dictionaries
of theatre of 18th century
The article highlights development of notion of stock carachter in theatre dictionaries of France in 18th century. If the first theatre dictionaries comment only
the stock carachters of Italian theatre and they are connected with the names of
concrete actors, Joseph de Laport and Nicolas de Chamfort describe for the first
time the stock carachters of both French and Italian theatres considering them
as general concept in the Dramatic dictionary (1776).

Il pastor fido (The Faithfull Shepherd) staged by Giovanni Battista Guarini
and the model of pastoral performance in the 16th century
This pastoral performance was underestimated by Russian researchers before
and in this article it is analyzed in greater detail, resources of theatre ideas and
devices of staging are mentioned. Discussion covers some problems of history
and methodology of the genre of pastoral.

The First A Dolls House
The third article deals with the great Danish actress Betty Hennings and her
interpretation of Nora. The central character of Ibsens drama passes through a
complicated psychological development correlating to the Kierkegaardian conception of the self and finally transforms into a tragic figure. However in Betty
Hennings performance Nora remained an eternal child who became the last
romantic image in Danish theatre.

French Cabaret in the end of the 19th century
as a new theatre form. Chat Noir
Cabaret theatres in France in the end of the 19th century were specific theatre
model that had its own type of relations of the actors with the audience, its own
composition of action; its own type of acting. Cabaret is considered to be a new
form of theatricality that first appeared on the edge of the 19th and 20th centuries
in France and was closely connected with the current social and cultural evolution, it has influenced further development of theatre art.

The Jester and the Clown: Vidushaka, an Indian Harlequin
The vidushaka, or the jester, a comic stock character in classical Sanskrit drama,
occupies a pivotal position in Kudiyattam. He is both the clown and the heros friend
and confidant. Apart from being a character in specific plays, the role of the vidushaka can also be conventionalized, as in his appearance in the ritualistic preliminaries (purvaranga) to Sanskrit plays. In performances of Kudiyattam in Kerala, the
vidushaka continues to play a significant role through his critical commentary in colloquial Malayalam on the learned Sanskrit dialogues used by the main characters.

Theres no art without poetry
Reflections on poetic texts in class of voice and speech
One of basic ways of education in techniques and expressivity of speech is a work
on lyric and dramatic verse. Student encounters poetry from the first day till the
last day of education in theatre school. Author proposes new approach to the
problem of work of actor on poetic texts and on poetic dramaturgy. Specific
emphasis is made on rhythm of poetic speech, on importance of poetic form, on
the dialogical structure of the lyric poetry.
