KONIX HS-209

INTRODUCTION
KONIX HS-209 is a polyol of medium functionality, sucrose-base polyether polyol
designed for the production of rigid urethane foam. It is suitable for the both high and
low-density foam. KONIX HS-209 can be used alone, or in combination with other
polyol or fire retardant agent, to achieve various degree of crosslinking. This polyol is
very compatible with much different type of isocyanates. KONIX HS-209 results in
foams with excellent k-factors to flow-ability relationship.
Appliance: insulation, insulated panels, refrigerated transportation vehicles, burnstock, portable coolers, pour-in-place insulation, marine flotation, polyol blends.

STORAGE
KONIX HS-209 is slightly hygroscope and must be stored under conditions so that
contamination with water and the absorption of atmospheric moisture are prevented.
Contact with copper or copper alloys must be avoided.
KONIX HS-209 should be stored in dry conditions away from direct sources of heat,
preferably in the unopened original containers. Opened drums must be re-closed tightly
immediately after drawing-off material.
Recommended maximum storage time --------------------- 12 months

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
KONIX HS-209 is a very low order of acute toxicity and neither irritating nor
sensitizing to the skin. It is a chemical for industry use and normal care should be taken
to avoid unnecessary contacts, splashes in the eyes, or accidental ingestion.
