2G case: There is threat to Raja's life, claims Subramanian Swamy

May 11, 2012,

Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy on Friday claimed that former telecom minister A Raja faces threat to his life as he knows too much in the 2G case. Swamy said Raja should be provided security if he gets bail in the case. Raja, whose bail plea will come up for hearing at a Delhi court on Friday, has been lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail for his alleged role in the 2G case. Fifteen months after his arrest, Raja on Wednesday moved the court for bail for the first time on the ground of parity with other 13 accused who all have been granted the relief. He has filed his application to the court of Special CBI Judge O.P. Saini soon after former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura, who was arrested along with him on February 2 last year, was granted bail by the Supreme Court.
