In the year 3056, a horrific plague caused by nuclear waste leakage in our worlds precious oceans had terrorized the entire Earth, destroying almost all life and leaving a barren wasteland. All life had mutated and suffered a major transformation due to the huge plague caused by chemical leakage, and their grotesque, inhumane features were prominent. Most life was unable to survive this apocalyptic event, and a lack of food, water, and sanitation had brought the human race to its knees. Hardships continued for years, however, one day a man envisioned a promising invention, a cure for the plague that had rampaged and nearly destroyed the human population. Although they were infected, a group of scientists who had not gone through a complete transformation from the plague worked diligently in order to find a cure. This cohesive team of scientists suffering from the plague decided to exploit the unintelligent shells of humans that limped mindlessly about to gather materials for their research, as no requisite skills were needed. Days turned into weeks, months, then years, and the entire team had nearly lost their sanity and humanity by the time they discovered the Cure, a chemical that would have to be injected into their blood stream to inhibit the nuclear waste from destroying human cells. By mass-producing the Cure they had created, the scientists concluded they had an ample amount to save the remainder of the human

population left on Earth. About a year passed after the Cure had been distributed around the world, saving hundreds of thousands, and all scientists had passed away except for the lone man who had envisioned the cure. Although his intentions seemed pure, in the midst of a discussion, a citizen asked how he had thought of creating the cure, for it had seemed impossible to save the Earth. Saying that his idea was a manifestation from years of studying science, all believed him, but only he knew the truth. Many years ago he had caused the nuclear waste leakage in the first place, and he believed that creating the Cure would redeem his unforgivable action.
