YEAR ACTIVATED: 1986 APPLICATION DESCRIPTION Post-censal population estimates, birth and death projections are developed as needed to provide the necessary inputs for planning studies and analyses. DATABASE CONTENTS: Current estimates and projections of total population by age, race and Hispanic origin according to sub-areas of the city (borough, community district); anticipated levels of births and deaths; and other variables such as housing or labor force are estimated or projected. The bulk of the data is stored in a mainframe computer system.
