OPTIMIZE YOUR ROI WITH NEW AND ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITY
The enhancement packages for the SAP ERP application provide new and improved software functionality that can add real value to your business. You can implement each enhancement package in a modular fashion; theres no need to run a major upgrade project. And you keep your core software stable while you activate only the new features and technical improvements you want on your own timetable to meet your business needs. The tables in this document define the specific functionality available in each enhancement package and identify the types of license packages you need to activate and use that functionality. Each SAP enhancement package contains business functions that you can activate separately and independently from each other. The licensing requirements are outlined in the tables below. The standard licensing model for SAP (see http://www.sap.com/ solutions/licensingmodel/index. epx) also applies to business functions shipped as part of SAP enhancement packages. Please consult the licensing model document prior to choosing a functionality you want to use from an SAP enhancement package to learn about potential licensing implications for each business function. In case of doubt, please contact your SAP account executive to provide you with detailed information about the required licenses. Extensive List of New and Enhanced Functionalities The majority of the business functions in SAP enhancement packages for SAP ERP are covered by the enterprise foundation package license. Certain business functions, however, enhance existing
functionality or introduce new functionality, and their activation requires an additional license package, either an enterprise extension or an industry portfolio package license. In each of these cases, the respective license needs to be in place prior to your activating or using the business function. The list below describes for enhancement packages 2 through 5 for SAP ERP which license type is required per business function in addition to the enterprise foundation package license. If the enterprise extension or an industry portfolio package license are both mentioned in the tables, you may choose the most appropriate package license: enterprise extension or industry portfolio.
