Snow Sex and Suspicious Parents - programme on BBC Editing ideas - 1:52 >> Creative shot editing idea

(People walking into college - have them walking forwards then backwards in time to the music) - Start with an establishing shot then zoom in quickly into a long/medium/close up shot - Different angled shots - Different paced shots - some fast paced when the voice over is fairly quick, some slow paced - Several shots in the same frame - One picture in the shot, then small pictures building on top of it - In the introduction - snippets of people talking (one sentence) - Various shots before the title - Establishing shots - rather than distance shot have close ups of signs - Facts flash up on the screen in front of creative shots - If there is music, play a few beats before the voice over starts - Shot with two people - blur one out whilst the other is talking, then change the blur when the next person speaks - Interviewee speaking whilst other clips are being portrayed so their voice acts like a voice over - Have the same shot but from a different perspective - reverse a panning shot - Fit the transistions of shots with the music - same pace, change shot on the beat, ect - Use range of different transitions - To change the music, remove instruments so that it is subtle - Add different instruments into the backing track

- Start with a statement "Stereotypes are assumptions about a certain group of people that are
simply judgements." - Voice over with creative shots at the start, then piece to camera following it, "so I've come to to discuss their views on the way society uses stereotypes" - Introduce the first interview, then show their answer, with creative shots in between and links to vox pops/other interviews - a few seconds into the professional interviews, give their name and profession on the screen
