Directions: Your Professional Development Plan (PDP) serves as a guide toward continuous improvement during your teacher preparation program. List specific competencies, skills and dispositions you would like to improve on this form, using input from FEAP evaluation reviewed with your mentor teacher, feedback from your faculty steward, and other sources you deem reliable. What do I want to improve? (list specific improvement goals) How will I achieve this? (list specific steps you will take) I will achieve this by implementing a point or token system in my future classroom. I will use the online application, DOJO, to issue points to my students. The use this particular application will allow me to track when and why I am issuing points to students on a day to day or weekly basis. From these reports and can evaluate myself to ensure I am being consistent with issuing rewards. When will I achieve this?

I want to improve my consistency of classroom management, specifically, praise for good behaviors and choices.

I will utilize and achieve this within the first eight weeks of teaching in my classroom.

I want to improve my overall lesson delivery to ensure students are actively engaged in activities and discussions.

First, I will video tape lessons weekly to observe myself and students during direct and guided instruction. I will use the video to reflect on what is working and what is not to alter lesson preparation and delivery. Also, I will use more small group and cooperative learning strategies with individual accountability. Small group discussions allow each student to feel as though they are participating in discussion whereas whole group discussions do not allow each student to express their thoughts. There will be a need to introduce and practice cooperative groups and also establish a routine and

I will review previous years test scores and baseline test scores to establish what they already know.
