Decision may be conscious or passively made. Your decisions can affect interpersonal relations and organizational quality.

When making a bad ethical decision, there will be repercussions


When making a good ethical decision, you can face harsh feedback. (i.e. name calling, harassment, etc.)

Mark Whitacre made what would appear as an ethical decision to expose price fixing that was being done by Acher Daniels Midland. Mark was commonly known as a liar and unethical persons before this incident. Therefore some people did not see his choice as ethical but rather as adding to his list of unethical choices.

Valued or Overrated?

Honesty is not overrated when dishonesty is corrosive.


When your information output could be devalued or your communication and creditability is damaged by dishonesty then it is clear that honesty is the best policy.

Subtle acceptance of unacceptable behaviors


We accept unacceptable behaviors and decisions unknowingly until they become a noticeable and most often a poplar topic.
