Introduction!

There are several brands of stain remover on the market today, so many in fact that it is quite
difficult to determine which one is the best. We chose 3 of the most recognizable brands of
stain remover and tested their effectiveness using a variety of different stains. We purchased
3 bottles of these stain removers in the 22 oz. range and then compared the prices.

Purpose!
The purpose of this report is to determine which of the three brands tested (Oxi-Clean,
Resolve and Shout) works best on removing stains. Another objective of this report is to
determine which product gives consumers the most for their money. The final result of this
manual will be to determine the best liquid stain remover that we tested. This decision will
be based on effectiveness and price of the product.

We chose three different liquid stain removers that contained no bleach. The three brands
and their individual costs that we will test are as follows:

For testing the different brands of stain remover, we used multiple white t-shirts.

Criteria!
The t-shirts were stained with permanent maker, tomato sauce, and grass.

Staining!
We stained each shirt with a reasonable amount of permanent marker, tomato sauce, and
grass. After letting the stains thoroughly dry for 20-30 minutes, we sprayed the stain with
each stain remover respectively and threw it in the washer.

Washing!
The shirts were washed in cold water for one wash cycle. After the shirts were done washing
they were allowed to air dry.
