New Renault Koleos is a high-level performance vehicle and Renault

has improved safety accordingly: that of the driver, of the passengers,
but also of pedestrians. Prevention is Renaults primary commitment.
In this regard, the New Renault Koleos is fitted with a combination
cruise control and speed limiter, automatic headlight illumination and
windscreen wiper activation in case of rain. Aparking assistance
and hill start assistance complete this effective system. The New
Renault Koleos also boasts an excellent quick correction ability if
the driver is facing a dangerous situation. The ESP system controls
and corrects the trajectory, while the braking assistance reduces
the stopping distance. Since it may be required to operate on
challenging inclines, the New Renault Koleos is equipped with a
speed stabiliser set to 7km/hour while descending even the steepest
slopes. On-board protection, especially of children, is ensured by
proven protection systems, including the ISOFIX fastening system
used in the safety belts.

4. FRONT AND REAR PARKING

DISTANCE CONTROL
To make parking manoeuvres easier, the
parking distance control system warns
you of obstacles situated in front of and
behind the vehicle by a sequence of
beeps which speed up the closer you are
to them.

1. HANDS-FREE CARD
The vehicle detects the presence of
the key card. Simply touching a handle
or the boot lid unlocks the vehicle. To
start, just push the"Start/stop" button
without having to insert the card into the
reader. You can lock the car by simply
pressing one of the door handles, the
boot handle or the card.

2. TRANSMISSION
3 positions available: AUTO: (position
selected on start-up), the All Mode 4x4-i
system guarantees optimal adhesion
depending on conditions, continually
distributing the torque between the four
driving wheels. The wheels with best
adhesion receive more torque, ensuring
optimum traction. LOCK: in the most
difficult conditions, below 40km/h,
the LOCK position blocks the torque
distribution at 50% on the front wheels
and 50% on the back wheels. New
Renault Koleos then makes the most of
its 4x4 capacities. 2 WD: the 2-wheel
drive position can be selected on dry
roads or motorways.

1. Rain and light sensors

The front windscreen wipers automatically start and adapt their speed
according to the intensity of the rain.
A light sensor turns on the headlights
automatically when night falls or when
you enter a tunnel.

3. HILL DESCENT SPEED

MONITORING
This system allows you to drive down
the steepest slopes in total safety by
stabilising the speed at 7km/h without
the need to brake. This feature is
activated by a button on the dashboard
when the LOCK position is engaged.

4. HILL START ASSISTANCE
Hill start assistance is automatically
activated as soon as a slope is detected
(starting at 10%). The system prevents
any backwards movement for enough
time to take off without using the parking
brake.

speed limiter enables the driver to set
a cruising speed or a maximum speed.
A control button on the steering wheel
allows you to adjust the chosen speed.
