The boards 1ill ha,e brad positioned on them in the shape o2 a s-uare and each brad 1ill ha,e a corresponding letter% All o2 the letters o2 the alphabet 1ill be present around the s-uare ho1e,er they 1ill not be in the correct order% There 1ill be a long string connected to the letter 8A9 and at the end o2 the string 1ill be a spider% The point o2 this center is 2or the students to manipulate that string and spider to 1rap around the brads connecting the letters o2 the alphabet in order% This 1ill sho1 that the students can recogni=e the di22erent letters and can also connect them in order% There 1ill be another 2oam board 1ith the same concept !ust using lo1er case letters instead o2 the upper case ones% A2ter the students ha,e connected all o2 the correct letters together( they 1ill be able to see that the strings all together 1ill 2orm 1hat loo7s li7e a spider 1eb and then they 1ill be able to re2erence bac7 to the story that 1e had !ust read:
