Mr. Herrera Room 131 BIM Rules 1.

Sit in seats quietly, be respectful of teacher, other students, guests, and follow instructions. Students arent allowed to be out of their seats or walking around. Only 1 person is allowed out of their seats at a time and must request permission to do so. Upon listening to instruction, participating in a discussion, taking notes, or performing a task there is no talking, passing notes, knocking or tapping on the tables, or causing any other kind of disruption to the learning environment. If a student wishes to ask a question or offer a comment, he or she should raise his or her hand or they shall not be recognized. There is no chewing, snacking, eating, or drinking permitted in this class. Students will not bring candy, gum, food, or drinks to the classroom. Students are responsible for doing their own work. Any coping will result in 0 for both parties involved. There will be no makeup for that assignment. Students will respect the use of computer equipment in the class. This means that the students, under any circumstances, arent allowed to be disconnecting or improperly using computer equipment that includes but isnt limited to power cords, keyboards, mice, cables, hard drives, and monitors. Misuse of technology will result in the forfeiture of the opportunity to use the computers. Violation of this rule will result in the student performing the work by hand. Students will use the Internet in a responsible manner. This means that students arent allo wed to connect to sites that arent educational, arent part of the curriculum, or that are blocked by the E.P.I.S.D. Specifically this means no checking email, myspace, facebook, or using proxies to access unauthorized sites. The teacher will give notice to which sites are authorized. If a student cant respect this policy the student will perform the work by hand. As the students are working on tasks on the computer students may listen to the music if they adhere to the following directions. Students must bring their own ear buds. Students may only have one ear bud in their ears. Students will need to listen to music from the computer. If a student listens to the music from an electronic device it will be confiscated. Students will not listen to music that has inappropriate or foul language. Students must get their work done. If the teacher thinks the privilege is being abused the student will not be allowed to listen to music. Occasionally, the students will be leaving the classroom to facilitate the learning of careers or for emergencies. In these scenarios, the students will line up in a single file line and wait for the instructor to give demands. In the case of a fire drill, the students will line up and walk calmly in a single file line to the designated location. Follow all guidelines established by the school and E.P.I.S.D.
