Hello Ms. Whiting: I have reached out to two highly effective writing teachers at Southmayd Elementary School. I have had the privilege of seeing these great teachers in action with their students. Mrs. Saenz-Phillips, principal at Southmayd, has approved your visit for Wednesday, December 11th. Please plan to observe Ms. Hymes (5th grade) in room T-47 from 8-9:15 a.m. and Ms. Giles (4 th grade) in room 3004B from 9:15-10:30 a.m. I highly encourage you to write down specific lesson components that you would like to observe prior to the observation in order to write down notes on specific items as you are observing. I will meet you at Southmayd by 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday to introduce you to the teachers and guide you to their classrooms. I will then need to go to Dodson for a meeting at 9 a.m. Please inform me of any inconvenience with these arrangements so that we can make adjustments. Note: Arrangements will need to be made to provide needed coverage for your classroom during your absence.
