Title: PREVENTING FALLING OBJECTS & MATERIALS

Fatal accidents & serious injuries continue to occur in the construction industry as a direct cause from unsafe working at height practice. Objects & materials can be prevented from falling from height by applying some refined engineering techniques. On our projects, EVS Construction L.L.C. prevent the fall of both back props & formwork channels by tieing into guardrails using either ledger pipes or 10 mm nylon wire. The method is selected according to the availability of materials on site. This is a simple engineering control which is also cost effective & can be used to reduce & eliminate the possibility of materials falling from height by any construction stakeholder.
