Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits We have to create something we want, like a video or a website about somebody in the ISD community. This means that it could be a teacher, student, coach or any other staff that has something to do with the ISD community. The final product will have to persuade the audience to think that the chosen person is going to be the best at whatever that person is doing and that the audience will see this as a good advertisement. There can be many different challenges during the process of this project. To start off there might be difficulties finding times to film or take pictures of the person thats going to be promoted. For example if somebody wants to promote their coach and they have practice at about 7 o'clock they might not really know when to film because they can't take away the time of the practice for others in the team and after the practice might be a little too late since the practice would end at about 9 o'clock. Another example of a problem that might occur on the way is that if we finished all of the filming and want to edit in the last lessons available during the deadline, we might have the problem that we forgot to research something on the editing programs that we use and therefore waste time trying to find any information on that. Instead if we use our time in class wisely we can watch tutorial videos that might help us later on in the editing part. For my final product Ill create an advertisement thats going to be a video. This video is going to be on my friend and classmate Rhys Lewis since hes a big part of the ISD Community. Rhys is worth promoting in a video because he takes part in many different after school activities in the ISD clubs and that makes him part of the ISD Community already, however, hes also a hard working student and is really organized and is really good in balancing his free time with his school time which is a problem for many other students of the ISD Community. I think, however, that the people that will mostly gain something out of this would be the new student that join the ISD community since they might start out to be a little bit shy and therefore not want to try any new sports and therefore the video might show them that they shouldnt be afraid to ask for help or advice from people, such as Rhys.

Identify and prioritise the research needed to develop a solution to the problem List of things that I will have to research:

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits Getting information about the programs that are used. Researching techniques of adds. Finding out how to get the audience interested on an add about a human. Searching out what to include in a promotion. Learning how create an independent website without weebly.com. Knowing how create an advertisement and get the audience to remember the promoted person. Tools that I will need: Camera. Pictures. Videos. Editing program. The most important ones: Camera. Editing program. The person, who I want to promote Rhys Lewis. The most important utensils that Ill need for the final video would be a camera, and a video editing program so that I can actually create a decent video at the end. Even though Ill also need small things like audio files and other tools, the most important are still the ones I stated. In total Ill have to have a camera, editing programm, pictures, and video tapes. These are the most necessary ones that Ill need to create my final video and to make it actually look good and professional. Design Specifications:
Should not be too short. Should not be too long. Perfect time 3-4 minutes. Have different scenarios. More than 1 person in it. Not be boring. Have good music. Good camera to film with. Actual pictures of him doing sports.

Analyse a range of existing products that inspire a solution to the problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTwEbzwEAhI This advertisement promotes new glasses from McDonalds and it in a way is like the one that Im planning to do since its showing a product and trying to sell it. However, Im creating an advertisement on a real person and therefore Ill have to give more information on that person and not just give a deal where you get something for free since Im just promoting him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PAJNntoRgA This advertisement shows people, who are promoting themselves on their own advertisement and is very similar to the one that Ill be making except that I wont be created by the person that its about and also it wont just have the person but instead someone else explaining the strengths of the person that Ill be creating the video about

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDUQW8LUMs8 This advertisement uses another famous person that many people look up to and therefore when the advertisement shows that famous person support the politician thats being promoted in this advertisement many fans will start to like and support that politician too. Therefore maybe I could include other people in my video that promote Rhys, too so that the video might get more effective.

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits Summarise the analysis of the findings from a range of sources related to the development of a possible solution, cited appropriately For this project Ill use the video editing program called Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, which is a really good program for editing videos and also it has many features like inserting other things like animations from programs like After Effects which would let me insert an animation which also has the feature that if I change the animation in its program it also changes it in the video editing program. Therefore Im thinking about actually creating a small animation and inserting it into my final video. Before I can start any of the video, Ill have to watch tutorials on the program. This is Adobe Premiere and its the video that Ill l be using for the editing process of my advertisement and therefore its really important for me to know how to create a good video and how to edit it correctly. Thepicture below shows how the program looks like:

There have been some videos on the internet that were really helpful in explaining how to set up the video program settings on the beginning of the start up and also how to edit and create the video. Here are some links that were pretty helpful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLElzmuhrnY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpqZJF1_j5s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqXSJCtfAVQ These tutorials that I found on youtube are all from the same creator and they are split into different parts to make it easier to follow all of the things that are going on. There have been many different things that were taught on these videos, however, I only chose the most important ones for the setup, the actual editing, and an explanation of the tools that are given in the program. The picture below shows what I created myself with the program:

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits I might add a little in the end. The following online tutorials that are picture belows shows the tutorial, which would help me to do that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHeHqhLHggI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly-ct0HjugQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Vd-GiW5Q5I animation into my video links are the ones to the found on Youtube. The

These videos taught me things like how to actually put in and render etc videos in the programme after effects, however, that isnt what Im going to want to do and therefore it was good that the videos also are showed how to create the animation with the pins since thats already what we learned in the lesson. In the lesson I learned how to use Adobe After Effect to be able to animate any picture I would need for my final project. We first needed to choose pins to then place them on the picture, which in this case was the goldfish and then film and move the pins in order to make it move. After that we learned how we can choose the time limit of our movie and also how to use codes to animate it even more like make the fish move around a little bit to make it look like its swimming. Then we learned how to render it and save it as a movie file so that we can then save it in the area we want it to be stored. The picture below shows how I worked within that lesson.

Basically its an easy way to animate pictures which basically means that you have to insert pins on the limbs of something and then while filming it move the pin the way you want

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits the animation to look like at the end. With this technique being so easy Im thinking of creating a small animation at the end to help me promote Rhys better in the advertisement and to make the video amusing for the audience thats going to watch it. The picture below the picture, which we got from our teacher in class and that we used to create our first animation with the pin technique.

For my survey I had in total 28 responses that gave me a good knowledge on what Ill have to do for my final product. I asked what kind of advertisements the people enjoy watching and the majority liked watching funny advertisement since nobody voted for the other ones. The picture below shows the pie chart of the votes that Ive gotten over a time range of 3 weeks.

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits

The picture below shows another pie chart, where its clear that 17 people voted for only funny advertisements as an preference and 0 others voted for the others except for 11 people who didnt really care and dont mind and therefore they gave me the vote all of the ones above.

Ive then asked the people if they would ever seek help from people like Rhys. As the picture above shows only 19% would ask Rhys and 37% wouldnt. Only 44% might have asked. Since the amount of people that would ask Rhys is really low, the final product which is going to be a promoting video will change that since people will see that Rhys is a helpful and caring person and that they should not be too shy to ask Rhys for help. This is the main reason why I wanted to create a promotional video for Rhys. The picture below shows a diagram representing the rate of responses that I got, so it shows that as the time went on, less and less people have responded to my survey as the time passed from the 5th September 2013 to the 14th September 2013.

Timur Cevik, 10.4 22.8.13 Mr. Suits Finally I created a title page and for that I needed a interesting photo of Rhys and for that I took a picture and then edited the picture on photoshop therefore this is another one of the learning stages for the final product. I created a mix between Rhys and the Joker, just so that the colours stand out and that its a funny picture of Rhys. The picture below shows that I first took a normal picture on the left and then edited it in the Jokers style on the right.

In conclusion it can be said that my final product will be a funny advertisement. However, Ill try to create in a way that doesnt make it look bad and non professional. Therefore Ill need to get Rhys to not laugh while hes being filmed so that the audience doesnt think that the final advertisement is bad quality. Ill also need to get others to give compliments about Rhys and therefore they will also have to not laugh or smile so that again the audience wont think that the advertisement is unprofessional and bad. It will take a lot of different tools to create but I think with the research that Ive done in class it wont be too hard to create and create a professional advertisement.
