Hawaiian Cultural Based Lesson

Lesson Topic: Objective: What do I want my students to know and be able to do? List clear, broad statements of important ideas, concepts, skills and dispositions to be taught and learned in a content area. Grade Level: 9 Read and understand a declaration of protest. Discuss the concept of protest, the reasoning behind this particular protest. Choose and compile laws in their own life that they are expected to follow and articulate the declaration of protest against these laws Present their declaration in a appropriate, positive and peaceful way. Compare and contrast this declaration of protest with other protests from Spanish speaking country. Content Standard(s): Using the DOE content standards website, select one or two standards your students will meet by the end of your lesson
