(a) Determine the dissolved oxygen content of the given water sample by 50 Winklers method. You are supplied with 0.1 N Thio. Express the result in mg/Litre. (b) What is the minimum amount of dissolved oxygen that should be present in drinking water?

(a) Determine the chloride content of the given water sample by 50 Argentometric method. You are provided with 0.01 N silver nitrate and potassium chromate indicator. (b) What is the maximum permissible limit of chloride in drinking water?

Determine the strength of the given hydrochloric acid using pH meter.

Using conductance measurements, determine the strength of acids in a 50 mixture.

Estimate the iron content of the given water sample, by thiocyante method, 50 using a spectrophotometer.

Determine the molecular weight of the polyvinyl alcohol using Ostwald 50 viscometer.

Experimentally find the end point in the titration between HCl and NaOH by 50 graphical method, using conductance measurements.

Make up the given chloride solution to 100 ml and after shaking for uniform 50 concentration, pipette out a known volume and titrate with silver nitrate of known strength and arrive at the normality of chloride solution.

Carry out the conductometric titration of nitric acid with KOH and arrive at 50 the end point by graphical method.

(a) Estimate the dissolved oxygen content of an effluent or river water sample 50 (after removing reducible impurities) by Winklers method. (b) Suggest a method to improve the dissolved oxygen content of the water sample under investigation.
