BBC Three remit: The remit of BBC Three is to bring younger audiences to high-quality public service broadcasting through

a mixed-genre schedule of innovative UK content featuring new UK talent. The channel should use the full range of digital platforms to deliver its content and to build an interactive relationship with its audience. BBC Three is aimed at a younger audience between the ages of 16 and 34. It shows a wide range of different programmes with a lot of them being comedy based. In order to appeal to this audience, the programmes feature many younger and less experienced actors. Target Audience: This channel is aimed at both males and females between the ages of 16 and 34. They believe that people of this age are inquisitive and ambitious and independent and adventurous. In order to appeal to the audience, the shows on BBC Three are relevant to them and their lives. Therefore they air a lot of shows that star younger actors and actresses in settings such as schools (Bad Education). Annual Commitments: Stimulating creativity and cultural excellence: 35 hours of new music and arts programmes Promoting education and learning: 125 hours of new factual programmes Sustaining citizenship and civil society: 15 hours of new current affairs programmes We are not going to use this channel to distribute our documentary because the programmes that are shown are usually more comedy based. Of the documentaries that are shown on this channel, there are none that are similar to our documentary, which could suggest that their target audience are not interested in our type of documentary.
