Thus have I heard at one time: the Buddha was teaching in Kosala, surrounded by many beings.

DEI-TSE KYIM-DAG DZEY-DEN ZHEY JA-WA KHOR-DANG CHEY-TE DU-PAR GYUR-PA TEN-LEY LANG-TE /
At that time, a layman named Dzeyden, surrounded by his entire family, stood up

CHOM-DEN DEY-LA DI-KED CHEY-SOL TO / KYE-MA TON-PA CHOM-DEN DEY /
and made this lamentation, Alas, Buddha, we who live in this kingdom

DAG-CHAG YUL-DIR CHI-PA NAM-LA GYAL-POI CHED-PA DANG / YUL-ZHEN GYI-MI TSOD-PA DANG /
are punished by the Kings taxation, contentious neighbors dispute with us,

KYE-WO PHAL-PEY TSANG DRU-WA DANG / DRA-NAM KYI KHA-CHU TSOD-PAI JIG-PA DU-MA DAG-CHI NA /
many people are disturbing us, enemies want to engage in litigation, prosecute us, and cause many kinds of
problems for us.

Oh Buddha, please protect us from all these calamities!

Then the Buddha replied, Layman, do not be afraid of all these lawsuits and court cases.

There is a Sutra named Kha-Chu Nag-Po, which will pacify all this negative litigation, which I will explain in
detail.

Oh layman Dzeyden, hold this completely, remember this, recite this, show this to others.

By doing this, any punishment by the government, conflicts, anger and

competitiveness: all these negative activities which cause interference and suffering will be reversed.

(Buddha Vajrapani, save me, save me, reverse and end the conflict, lawsuits, and negativity caused by the
malicious minds of those possessed by the maras. Break it. Always protect me. Break. Break. So be it.)

For I and all our retinues: pacify all the negative activities of the maras, pacify all the past negative deeds from

pacify all enmity, karmic debts of family and relatives, obstructions and obstacles caused by the bad year, bad
month, pacify all misfortune;

KYE-WOI TSOD-PA DANG / GYAL-POI CHED-PA DANG / TSANG DRU-WA DANG / KHA-CHU TSOD-PA DANG /
pacify all disputes and conflicts, persecution from the government; pacify those who seek to prosecute us with
lawsuits, and those who wish to insult us;

NGEN-SEM DANG / SAM-PA NGEN-PAI DROG-DANG / MIG-TEY NGEN-PA DANG / DON THAM-CHED
DOG-PAR GYUR-RO /
pacify those with malicious thoughts towards us, and those who create bad influences. With this mantra,
reverse all these obstacles.

Those who are angry will become calm. All legal disputes, ancestral ghosts, curses of the mamos, and

and all bad omens will become pacified and all will become peaceful and harmonious.

by all the past Buddhas. I am now teaching this just as the Buddhas of the past once did.

DI RAB-TU ZUNG-LA GYUN-DU THON-CHIG / JIG-PA THAM-CHED SEL-WAR GYUR-RO /
You must keep this and recite it daily. All fear will be dispelled.

KHA-CHU DANG-TEY NGEN-PA THAM-CHED DOG-PAR GYUR-RO / NED-DANG DON-DANG / JUNG-PO DANG /
All legal cases and misfortune will be reversed. In addition, all sickness, causes of sickness,

LO-KEG DANG / DA-KEG DANG / MO-NGEN PA THAM-CHED ZHI-WAR GYUR-RO /
all disturbances caused by spirits, negative energy caused by bad years and months, and all negative predictions
will be dispelled.

Then Manjushri stood up from his seat and addressed

the Buddha, What will be the name of this Sutra and in which manner should we practice this?

KA-TSAL WA / JAM-PAL DI-NI KHA-CHU NAG-PO ZHI-WAR JED-PA ZHEY JA-WAR ZUNG-SHIG /
The Buddha replied, Manjushri, this Sutra shall be named Kha-Chu Nag-Po - The Black Lawsuit.

Manjushri proclaimed, So be it, so be it.

I will protect all who keep this and read this great and profound Sutra.

KYAB-PAR GYI-O / MA-WA NA TSIG-TSUB THUB-PAR GYI-O / KA-TSAL WA /
I will save them, I will dispel all the harsh words of others. Then the Buddha said,

Whenever you are involved with a legal dispute, you should recite this Sutra seven times.

PHAG-PA JAM-PAL YID-LA GOM-TE SONG-NA / PHA-ROL GYI TSOD-PA THAM-CHED JOM-SO /
Meditate on Manjushri, and by doing so your opponents anger will become completely dissolved.

RANG-GI TSIG-TSUN PAR GYUR-RO / MEY-PA LA ZHEN-YID CHE-PAR GYUR-RO /
Moreover your words will have power and influence so that whatever you say will be respected and held to be
true.

Thus the Buddha spoke. Then the layman Dzeyden,

and all the gods, humans, demigods, ghandharvas, and other worldly beings

rejoiced and had faith in what the Buddha had said.
