Hansen Transmissions is an established global wind turbine gearbox and industrial gearbox designer, manufacturer and supplier, with

a leading position (by MW supplied) in the wind turbine gearbox market. The company supplies gearboxes to four of the five largest manufacturers of gear-driven wind turbines globally and provides durable gear drives for a wide range of industrial applications throughout the world. Hansen plans to increase its wind turbine gearbox manufacturing capabilities nearly four-fold, from 3,800MW per annum as at 31 March 2007, to 14,300MW, by 2012. It has two manufacturing facilities in Belgium, a plant under construction in India and advanced plans for a Chinese factory. Hansen employs more than 1600 people worldwide.

Hansen has 2 production sites in Flanders, Belgium, one in Edegem, near Antwerp and the second in Lommel, Limburg. Hansen employs 1300 people in Belgium. Somewhat 150 of them hold a degree in Engineering. Apart from the two production plants, we also offer career opportunities in our service centre in Schoten and our design office in Ghent.
