Delete keys.
1.2.4 Show correct position of fingers on the keyboard.

Learning Objective :

i) State the functions of a keyboard.
ii) Use the keyboard correctly.

i. Identify the various shapes
ii. Using shapes for the activity.

Skills: 1.1.1 Listen to & repeat vowels in the initial position.


2.2.3 Ask ‘Wh’ questions to find out more information about shapes.

Resources : Microsoft Office Power Point (Movie), Worksheet and task card.

Activities :
Step 1 : The teacher asks the pupils to read the words and shapes displayed on the
screen on the board.
Step 2 : The teacher explains the words and shapes and give example i.e. the computer
keyboard. The teacher shows the Usage of keyboard and key functions. The
teacher plays the movie of the keyboard.
Step 3 : Label parts of the keyboard.
Step 4 : Identify the physical features of keyboard.
Step 5 : To gain the typing skill use Module 1; Animated Beginning Typing.

Moral value : team work, co-operation & respect
