Greek Mythology Timeline

Event 1: Out of the void of Chaos came Gaea, Tartarus, Eros, and Erubus. Event 2: Gaea gave birth to Uranus. Together they produced the hecatoncheires, the giants, Cronus, Rhea, Coeus, Phoebe, and Oceanus. Event 3: Uranus plots to destroy Gaea. Cronus overthro s him in to Tartarus, the dar!est depths of the Under orld. Cronus is then cro ned the !ing of the Titans. Cronus and Rhea then produce "estia, Poseidon, "ades, #emeter, "era and $eus. To protect Cronus%s throne, the !ing ate each child as it as born. &hen $eus as born, Rhea tric!ed Cronus into eating a roc! instead. Event 4: $eus gro s up in a cave in Crete. &hen he gro s up, he disguised himself and poisoned Cronus into vomiting up the other ' children that he s allo ed. The Gods go to Event 5: ar ith the Titans. The gods in, and $eus is cro ned (ing of the gods, and )ord of the s!y. Event 6: The rest of the Olympians are born. Event 7: Prometheus creates man, and Epimetheus ma!es animals. Epimetheus used all of the gifts *i.e. strength, agility, etc.+. Prometheus gave man fire. ,ire as only for the gods, so $eus punished him by chaining the Titan to a roc!, and has an eagle come and rip out his liver every day, only to gro again that night. Event 8: To punish humans for accepting fire, the gods create the first oman, Pandora, hose name means -all gifted.. $eus gave her the gift of curiosity for a /ar that she as told to never open. 0he married Epimetheus, and one day, opened the /ar. Evil, sic!ness and so on came out from the /ar. 0t the bottom of the /ar as "ope. Event 9:

The human race is ignorant to the gods. $eus sends a massive flood. The only believer of the gods, "elen, survives. Event 10: The gods aid "elen create a better human race. They tell her to thro roc!s over her shoulder. 1s she does so, the roc!s turn into men and omen.
