Teaching Children with Down Syndrome

Yr0-Yr3 and Yr4-Yr8

These are both full one-day courses designed to equip Teachers,


Support Workers and Teacher Aides.
The presenter is Margi Leech from Auckland who ran a very successful workshop
on the same topic in Christchurch earlier this year.
She is a trained teacher of 30 years experience and a parent of
a child with Down Syndrome.

Topics include:
Learning profile of children with Down Syndrome
You as the Teacher
Expressive Language
Behaviour and Inclusion
Differentiating the Curriculum
Numeracy and Literacy
