Notes:
*Bingo night: The night was fun and well-attended. Thank you to all who helped. The weather was cold and
rainy and we didnʼt get the 90 attendees expected. Considering that each person spent an average of $35,
we should have expected a profit of $2466 rather than the realised $1003.61 (expenses would remain the
same). I think it is worth running again. I think that next yearʼs event will be better attended because word-of-
mouth recommendations will be good.
*Trish in the Library has purchased a new Circulation Desk. We have not yet paid for this and it will cost
about $2800. She will then have $1200 left of the money we put aside for her.
*We paid $62.00 tax on our Term Deposit. We need to get an ABN to avoid paying tax in the future. (Having
an ABN is also a requirement of the P&C Federation and so should be a priority.) I recommend that we top
up the Term Deposit when it matures on 18 February 2010 (interest rate 4.0%). I think we could easily spare
an additional $2000.
*Shirt sales are going well but we have not yet paid for the last batch. The cost will be around $650
*The Garden Grant has not yet arrived but when it does we will deposit it and the Garden subcttee will draw
on these funds.
