Surviving teenage years

How can we, as parents and LAs, help our young people through their teenage
years when they have ADHD / Aspergers / dyslexia / dyspraxia / depression /
other health issues to contend with as well?

What are the issues they struggle with alongside the challenges of being a
teenager?

Get some new ideas of how to cope as parents and LAs.

This month we are extremely lucky to have two highly respected clinical
psychologists who work with young people (and their parents) as they learn how
to manage their lives despite their difficulties. They have tremendous hands-on
knowledge as well as the background of theory - very skilled and approachable
people.

Katrina Falconer Beach and Catherine will bring a wealth of experience for us to
tap into.

Please note the slight change to the times. While the doors will be open from the
end of school, and your students are welcome to stay on from then, we will start
gathering from 5.30pm onwards, with a shared meal soon afterwards while we
chat / support / learn from one another. After Katrina and Catherine’s talk we will
have a short time to discuss any of the issues raised, and an opportunity to help
us integrate some of what we learn into our families’ and school lives.
