    To transfer title of a property, the following documents are required: a true copy of the deed showing current ownership, proof of identity like a power of attorney if applicable, recent tax receipts like house tax and electricity bills, an encumbrance certificate, a transfer application form signed by both the previous and new owners, an indemnity bond signed by the new owner, link documents connecting the previous and new owners if applicable, and a demand draft for the prescribed transfer fee. True copies must be notarized or attested by a gazetted officer.

    Title Transfer Documents required

    1. True copy of the Sale deed, Lease deed, Gift deed, Partition deed. 2. True copy of General Power of Attorney (if any) to be enclosed wherever applicable. 3. Latest House Tax Receipt copy. 4. Latest Electricity Bill Receipt copy. 5. Latest Municipal Corporation Tax Demand Notice. 6. Encumbrance Certificate. 7. Transfer Application Form to be signed by the earlier consumer, on whose name the supply has been registered, and by the New Applicant in duplicate. 8. The new applicant shall execute an indemnity bond in the prescribed format on a Non- Judicial Stamp Paper worth Rs.100/- (if necessary). 9. Link documents wherever applicable of the concerned premises, have to be submitted to establish the connection between the previous consumer and the present consumer. 10. Demand Draft of prescribed amount in favour of the company.

    Note:-

    i). True Copy means the original papers have to be photostated and on the Photostat / Xerox copy, the Notary Public or Gazetted Officer has to endorse True Copy, seen and attested.

    ii). Photocopy of True Copy is not acceptable.
