The benefits of an elevator

Upon the invention of the elevator in the 1850s, peoples lives have been dramatically simplified. An elevator is a device that is used for a variety of tasks, such as for lifting people and goods. Of course any innovative technology is met with skepticism, but elevators have proven more than useful since their birth. Elevators have to obey certain rules and regulations depending on the country but all in all they are very safe. Every elevator comes with a series of safety nets that reduces the risk of a potential catastrophe. Elevators are equipped with braking systems that automatically deploy when the sensor detect something wrong (for example a cable that fails). In addition to their safety elevators are simple to use. The controls are straightforward and logical, some might say foolproof. Another key aspect is the fact that elevators relieve the strain of climbing 100 flights of stairs and aid disabled peoples lives. In crowded cities where there is less and less realestate you can build higher buildings and with the help of the elevator everybody can reach their floor with very little effort. All in all elevators have been a significant invention and have helped us tremendously.
