ASWSUV Nineteenth Senate 2009-10 Session

AN ACT Amending By-laws 221.01 and 221.03.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASWSUV SENATE:

Sec. 1. The By-laws currently read:

221.01 The voting members of the Budget Committee shall consist of the chairs
of the Senate standing committees, the ASWSUV President, and a member of the
Executive Cabinet to be appointed by the President.

Sec. 2. The By-laws shall be amended to read:

221.01 The voting members of the Rules and Administration Committee shall
consist of the Chairs of the Senate Standing Committees, the Chair Pro-tempore
of the Senate, and the Vice President.

Sec. 3. The By-laws currently read:

221.03 The ASWSUV Vice President shall be an ex-officio, non-voting, Vice
Chair of the Rules and Administration Committee.

Sec. 4. The By-laws shall be amended to read:

221.03 The ASWSUV Vice President shall be the Vice Chair of the Rules and
Administration Committee.

STATEMENT OF FACT:
The voting membership of the Rules and Administration Committee should be corrected
to reflect what has been happening, what is happening, and what should continue to happen. This
does, however, give a vote to the Vice President.
