Supply Chain Performance Improvement Subject of Four CSCMP 2008 Events

Lombard, Illinois USA (January 31, 2008)—The Council of Supply Chain Management
Professionals (CSCMP) will host four Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management workshops
this year. These two-day events were designed to help professionals explore the significant im-
pact that a supply chain has on all aspects of business while gaining an understanding of its
many components.
Two of the industry’s most notable experts, Kenneth B. Ackerman of the K.B. Ackerman
Company and Art Van Bodegraven from The Progress Group LLC, are the workshop instructors.
“Since 2004, hundreds of managers have discovered how to improve their supply chains’
performance by participating in these educational workshops,” Ackerman said. “These practition-
ers have learned that there is a direct correlation between an organization’s efficient supply chain
and its profitability. Our programs are highly interactive as well, which allows attendees to gain
valuable insight from their peers. They will also be encouraged to use their creative management
skills while applying the essential principles we present through a number of challenging case-
study exercises.”
The Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management workshops will cover topics such as
warehousing, procurement, inventory management, customer service, transportation, and in-
formation systems.
The dates and locations of the 2008 Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
workshops are:
March 17-18
Atlanta, Georgia, USA

April 28-29
Dallas, Texas, USA

September 15-16

November 13-14
