Health & Wellness, Environment and Physical Activity This performance task fosters student awareness of the importance of water for their bodies to function properly Fosters and awareness of the importance of water for quality of life. It also gets students to think about the negative effects that polluted water may have on our health and the health of the environment.

This performance activity will encourage students to design and carry out an experiment and investigate of human water usage and possible impacts on the environment. This performance activity fosters an awareness that personal hygiene and basic needs can be accommodated, while conserving water for our health of our environment and the ecosystems that depend on clean water. This performance task encourages student to carry out an investigation of how water impacts our environment. This performance task will get students actively walking outdoors in a local wetland to capture pictures to incorporate into their photo story. This performance task encourage a respect and concern for water conservation and the negative impacts that irresponsible water usage may have on the environment and ultimate human health and quality of life

In this performance task students are encouraged to conduct and investigation of the quality of water in the environment. This activity has students actively searching and testing water while on a fieldtrip to collect scientific data. This activity fosters a deeper understanding of the negative impacts of pollution and improper water usage on our water resources and ultimate on our health and the health of the environment. In this performance task students will engage in exploring the impact of water on the health of the environment and on humans. This performance task will get students physically expressing their concerns about water through body movement This performance task will foster a deeper understanding and concern for negative impacts on polluted water on the environment and human health and grim reality of water being a non-renewable resource that cannot be wasted.

This performance takes will engage

students in a issue that is current and lives in their world and will give students an opportunity to come up with creative solutions to improper water use within their community.
