To Test Fire Hydrant Stand Post and Hose Box.

b) This Work instruction contains the procedure for testing of Fire Hydrant Stand post and Hose Box.

c) This work instruction is approved by General Manager – Manufacturing and released by Chief
Manager – SCRC.

HOW TO TEST FIRE HYDRANT STAND POST AND HOSE BOX

FIRE HYDRANT STAND POST

1. Every day three fire hydrant posts are selected in rotation for testing

2. Security personnel opens the full wheel of one of the hydrant post

3. Observes the release of water at high pressure

4. Closes the wheel completely

5. Makes his observation and proceed to test next fire hydrant post

FIRE HYDRANT HOSE BOX

1. Every day one fire hydrant box is selected to check its contents

2. Security personnel opens the hose box by the master key

3. Security personnel confirms the availability of

a. hose box key in key cabinet provided on the hose box
b. nozzle in good condition
c. two hoses in good condition

4. Makes his observations
