(its size, aesthetic, construction, and how can you make it ergonomic and user-friendly) Consider elements of function relating to this type of product (such as ergonomics, shape, movement, maintenance, durability) Consider elements of Aesthetics relating to Product Design (such as style, form, shape, and colour) Design Requirements: Undertake effective development of design ideas through graphics practice Graphics Practice involves using visual literacy such as different modes and media, through the development of an idea. This could include drawing, model making, digital modelling Design ideas are student generated. Design judgements are decision made to further improve the designers ideas, values, perspectives or tastes

Students Should: explore design ideas by considering and showing possible alternative ideas to their design refine design ideas by considering and showing detail aspects specific to their design Make and show design judgements that consider qualities of design ideas in terms of the principles of aesthetics and function in response to the brief given. Visually communicate the details of design ideas in response to the design brief.
Students Should: Purposefully explore and refine design ideas in relation to the specified target market and designer influence. Make and show design judgements where your ideas have been informed by design principles and the context and specifications of the given brief.

Influential designers are those recognised in the context of their work as leading practitioners The work of a designer could be an individual or a group of practitioners. Evidence may be presented using traditional or computer applications Design ideas are student generated in response to the design brief.
