To create my indesign double page spread and contents page (experimentation) I started by creating a new document.

I made 3 pages with 3 columns. I changed the setting of margins to 10mm. In this screenshot it showed how I created the Mastehead by clicking the text icon on the side and typing in Header

This screenshot showed how I added an image by clicking ctrt+D to get and image. I also had text so I experimented by pressing Window and scrolling down to Text Wrap and before that I right clicked the image and pressed Arrangement and then Send Behind.

In this screenshot it shows how I added a standfirst. It shows by adding a stand first it breaks up the text at the beginning of the article. I changed the font size so it shows that I added and standfirst.

In this screenshot it shows how to add a drop cap into the begging of my article.

I then highlighted the bit I wanted to be drop capped and then clicked the Drop Cap in the box.

In this screenshot I have added a pull quote. I did this by making a text box by using the text button on the left hand side. I then typed in what I wanted and changed the size. Then I made the text Wrap Text by clicking the wrap text in the box above where is said Text Wrap.
