Important Dates & Information: Camp is held each year during the third week of July. Applications are due as soon as possible, fee balance and medical forms are due by May 1st. Campers are scheduled to arrive at Zephyr Point Sunday afternoon and to depart camp the following Saturday by 11:00 AM. Transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of each campers family. Any transportation and lodging that may be provided by CampCare outside of the camp schedule will be at an additional cost. Camp Lotsafun Camp Lotsafun directly impacts the issues faced by families with disabilities by establishing programs to provide quality, reliable and affordable respite care that supports the entire family.

Our curriculum is based on therapeutic benefits and focus on improving physical health, selfesteem, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cooperation, safety skills, self-expression, and sensory integration. Activities include: Swimming, kayaking, archery, hiking, teamwork, pet therapy, outdoor games, drama, music, ropes challenge course, arts & crafts, campfire, and guest speakers. Additional activities are scheduled at each session, and vary depending on availability, including: AT&T Hot Air Balloon, Care Flight, and the Tahoe Douglas Fire Department. Nevada Museum of Art The Nevada Museum of Art is the only accredited art museum in the state of Nevada. The museum is committed to continuous institutional improvement and chance. The Nevada Museum of Art is committed to enabling all visitors to experience our exhibitions and programs. All public areas of the museum are wheelchair accessible and motorized wheelchairs are permitted. Wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis. Assistive listening devices are available for programs hosted in the theaters. Sign language interpretation is provided with two weeks advance notice. Guide dogs are also welcome.

Winter Fun Rink on the River Ice skating at Rink on the River in Reno is a fun activity everyone can enjoy during winter. Since opening in 2005, Rink on the River has become a popular venue in downtown Reno. It operates every day during the season (weather and ice conditions permitting). The 2013 - 2014 season runs from Tuesday, November 26 through Sunday, February 2. Rink on the River has sledges available so people with disabilities can join in the fun. Sledges are sled / skate devices that permit a seated person to maneuver across the ice using short poles. Children receive a 2 hour lessons from our PSIA/AASI trained snow sports school every weekend in the morning and have the rest of the day to free ski or ride. There are ONLY two ways for a child to join the Sky Tavern Junior Ski Program, with a participating adult member or as a bus student. All children under the age of 9 must join with a participating adult member. Children 9 years and older may join with a participating adult member or as a bus student. Sky Tavern offers an adaptive ski school for children with physical and mental disabilities. Specially trained staff is available to help these children experience the thrill of successful participation in winter sports. These kids are an inspiration to everyone on the mountain. Cost: $125 for child or adult, $205 for child riding the bus to the mountain Adaptive Ski/Snowboard Lessons Heavenly believes everyone should have access to the thrill of skiing and riding. They offer a comprehensive adaptive ski and ride program taught by specially trained instructors. The goal is to provide personalized instruction for guests with disabilities to help build confidence and a love for snowsports in a safe environment.
