These accomplishments derive from my strong foundation of addressing the educational and developmental needs of youth in urban schools. My current experiences as a student teacher at Stevenson Middle School thus far encompass engaging students in content discourse and providing equitable access to the content. accomplish this by continuously integrating think- pair-share strategies, group dialogue, and receptive modalities within my instruction. During my past experiences at the Charter School of San Diego, was dedicated to providing my students with individualized support. For example, effectively collaborated with my supervising teacher to make modifications and accommodations for students especially for students receiving special education services. Providing my students with alternative assignments appropriate to their learning levels and incorporating scaffolds such as graphic organizers and models are just a few ways successfully helped differentiate instruction. Lastly, through my experiences with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Council of Youth Research, and UCLA Community Programs Office encouraged students' self-efficacy and agency by engaging in critical dialogue and cultural awareness.
