Progressive Era Project

Directions: This week you will be creating a PowerPoint. You will be reading and researching several topics. The topics are the Gilded Age, Progressive Reform, Progressive Presidents, Rights of Women, Struggle for Justice, and a topic of your choice. You will focus on a particular aspect for each topic. You will need to create two slides for each topic. One slide will have 3-5 bullets describing the particular topic and the second slide should have a picture related to the topic. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Read Chapter 19 for the important information (p. 644-665). Take notes if needed.

Step 2: Create the slides and write your bullets describing each topic first. Remember they are: 1. the Gilded Age, 2. Progressive Reform, 3. Progressive Presidents, 4. Rights of Women, 5. Struggle for Justice, and 6. a topic of your choice. For the topic of your choice, you may do a different aspect of a topic already listed (1-5). (60 points, 10 per topic) Focus each topic on a person, movement, amendment, law, or event. Do not try to tell me everything about the topic.

Step 3: Create the slides with pictures for each topic. You should have 6 slides with pictures related to the topic. (30 points, 5 per picture)

You should have a total of 13 slides when you are done. 1 title page (10 points), 6 slides with descriptions (60 points), and 6 slides with pictures (30 points).

Total: 100 points
