Lesson Title: Ol! Que se escuchen esas palmas! Terminal Objective: Students will be able to describe detail characteristics about Spanish Flamenco. Bell work: Low Flamenco music will be playing in the background with the question, in the target language: What music does this sound like? Individual writing/reflection practice with some discussion about what they think Review the simple future tense with the question What do you think we will be doing today? (Music will still be playing) Individual practice, class review as needed

Students will need to add on to their prediction paper a couple of sentences to describe the music that they hear; they will then discuss with a partner Random students will be chosen to share their partners predictions and descriptions Random students will be chosen to read small, one-page, passage about Flamenco and its history Students will need to write down 3 characteristics about reading Students will be instructed to quickly share with neighboring classmate what they found interesting and defend their point of view Random students will be asked to share one characteristic they found interesting
