March 31, 2012 RE: Letter of Recommendation Bro. Milton David Grays

Scholarship Committee, I have been informed that Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is considering neophyte Bro. Milton David Grays as a candidate for the Charles R, Drew Memorial Scholarship. In order to assist you with your evaluation and further enable you to accomplish your assessment, I am providing you with the following information with regards to Bro. Grays. Bro. Grays was initiated into our beloved fraternity in the fall of 2011, at Central Michigan University, CMU (Omicron Bata Chapter). Since that time Bro. Grays has been extremely active. The following are a few of his accomplishments since his initiation: Basileus Omicron Bata Chapter, News Central 34 producer, NAACP Chair of Programs and Recourses Committee, On-Line Producer-Environment Health and Safety Department, National Pan Hellenic Council-Treasure, and a leader in CMU student ran programs such as Men About Change. Bro. Grays has also been active in his community and has a clear understanding of uplift by tapping into the social economic and morally prudent programs that are available for he and his fellow neophytes to participate in such as volunteering to serve in soup kitchens and nursing homes. While all of the aforementioned accomplishments illustrate Bro. Grays character and work ethic they do not speak to his scholarly achievement. To that end, I would like to advise you that Bro. Grays has demonstrated his scholarly achievement by achieving the level of Leadership Advancement Scholar and Multicultural Advancement Scholar. Bro. Grays has been on the Deans list and maintained 3.5 GPA since his enrolment at CMU. Bro. Grays has also been selected to participate in the National Society for Collegiate Scholars and will be inducted April 14, 2012. Accordingly, and as an active member of Omicron Rho Chapter, Life Member, and State Representative of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Northern Region, I highly recommend Bro.
