The Relationship between the Preamble,the Fundamental Rights and the Directive Principles

All integral parts of same constitutional edifice All equally important and have to read with each other Objective- Building egalitarian society and socio economic justice Together constitute soul of the Constitution No dichotomy between them Fundamental rights represent Donts for the govt. and Directive Principles represent Dos for the govt. DP represent dynamic movement towards a certain objective, FR represent something static Fundamental Rights are negative rights whereas Directive Principles are positive rights. Though there are some positive FR also like Ar15, 17, 23 FR are gifts of law whereas DP are fundamental in governance and no responsible govt. can ignore them Conclusion- Though sometimes conflicts occur between them but each of them has immense importance in our constitutional system
