Vander Lugt Week of: February 17-20 Learning Targets: I can identify 10 letters, I can count to 20, I can sort objects by color, I can identify and say my full name Arrival: Arrival: 7:50-8:05 Children are helped to build relationships with teachers and other children as 12:00-12:15 they become familiar with the classroom and the arrival routine. Children are greeted by their teachers, guided to help find their name tags, and assisted to print in their name books. They can then choose to explore the library, science area, toys and games, and writing center.

Children are able to engage in an activity at their level of development in a smaller group while led by an adult. Planning is an opportunity for children to use a simple activity to show that it is their turn to make a plan and state their intentions of what they will do during work time.

Children carry out personal care routines on their own with the support of teaching staff KDI C19 Work Time/Free Choice Children are deliberate in selecting activities and materials to work with and actively implement their ideas and plans with cooperative play. The classroom is set up in defined areas to encourage explorations in dramatic play, blocks, science, art, writing, library, and sensory experiences. The come to circle music is played so children can enter circle as they finish their tasks and complete their cleanup.
